What a weekend!

I heard of an elderly man with a very young date that walked into the fine jewelry store on a Friday night and asked to see a "real nice ring" ~ the gentleman brought a ring for his approval that cost $5000.00. The elderly man said, "Oh, I would like an even finer ring than this!" So the jeweler brought back a ring that cost $40,000.00. He said "I'll take it!" The date was IMPRESSED!

Writing a check, he said, "I'm sure you will need to check the funds, we can come back on Monday morning to pick the ring up."

Early Monday morning the man returned. The jeweler said, "Sir, there is no money in this account." The man said, "I know that, but let me tell you about MY WEEKEND!"

Denise, "Gladys Friday" Jody & Gayle are "traveling" ~ we are in Raleigh, NC in the SNOW! Beautiful. All Raleigh red has been replaced by white snow.

Denise & Gladys will speak to the AMA Regional Alliance Conference tomorrow. Snow angel to follow.........

Circle Meeting & Bible Study for the DOGS....too!

Well, this sweet story should make you smile for awhile. My friend was awakened this morning by an unusual noise coming from her study. She tip-toed down the stairs, through the hallway, uncertain of what she may find.

Rounding the corner, she was surprised to see her puppies all gathered around in a circle and chewing the pages from her Bible.

"Sharing The Word" I might add. As sweet as that was, I'm sure she is NOT looking forward to the "Holy Litter" and "FellowSHIP" that will follow.

I believe a "Prayer Meeting followed by Revival" may just in store for those pups.

I'm so "Gladys Friday" aren't you?

"Gladys" and Denise are looking forward to speaking for the North Carolina Medical Society Alliance Conference in Raleigh next week. NC is hosting the conference for 12 states ~ a full house is expected due to the great work from their committee members! Kudos to them for their hard work!

"She's there!"

Attending a friend's funeral recently, we gathered around waiting for her to be carried to the graveside. With all eyes reverently focused on the hearse, there seemed to be some trouble. We waited and waited until things became uncomfortably quiet. Finally, someone said, "I think they are having trouble opening the hearse doors."

Our friend always had such a great sense of humor, we chuckled because we KNEW she must have played a part in "The Ending" ~ holding out as long as she could.

Once they found someone to help with the locked door, the service continued. It was a very nice service, filled with many heartwarming and fun stories.

At the very end there was a huge bolt of lightning and the loud clap of thunder followed. With that, her husband announced to the Pastor and friends......"well, she's there!"

Going out with a celebration is "making a difference"........we should all be making a difference every day! Enjoy today ~

New Clinic

Happy Tuesday.....from "Gladys Friday"

"Gladys" is sorry for the missed posting of the Friday Funny, she was "traveling." She and Denise had a very busy and productive week. Thanks to all her fans!

As we were traveling last week, "Gladys" noticed a sign at a drug store that was meant to advertise their new H1N1 Clinic. Well, they actually used the letter I instead of the number 1.

So it read: NEW HINI Clinic OPEN. You KNOW the first thing that popped into "Gladys" mind was "new hini?" ~ "Gladys" has an OLD hini, would that work?

( | )

"She" didn't realize that the drug store was now performing colonoscopies with the addition of all the new HINI Clinic openings. Could that be part of our NEW HEALTHCARE? Do you think drive-thru is available.......yet?

Have a great day!

'Twas the very last day of 2000 and 9......

'Twas the very last day of 2000 and 9
I had vowed and declared I wouldn't whine

So as I prepared for my little bed
Many thoughts were running all through my head

I removed my teeth and placed them into the jar
Very thankful the night stand wasn't too far

Taking off my glasses, I could no longer see
Yet thankful for that cute little doc who sold them to me

For without my glasses everything is a blur
And without my teeth all my words slur

I opened the night cream to smear on my face
And sat it back down...trying to find space

Then there's the foot cream and white socks to wear
For cracked feet have taken me far, here and there

As I reached over for the arthritis rub
I realize it's all been used up by my old hub

And last but not least removing hearing aids
I realize that I really do have it made

When all of a sudden what do I hear?
The phone is ringing...my yunguns wish a Happy New Year!

So once again I'm glad the nightstand is near
'Cause I'm reloading it all so I can see, talk & hear ~
